Petroleum Licences: Poplar
(1875) Under the provisions of the Petroleum Act of 1871, the London Metropolitan Board of Works was given the power to grant annual licences to the owners of premises which had been inspected and certified as fit for the storage of petroleum. The lists state parish or district; name (surname first); case number; address (including house number); quantity to be kept, in gallons, and the nature of the storage facility. County Court Judgments: Middlesex
(1890) Extracts from the Registry of County Courts' Judgments. These judgments were not necessarily for debt. In some cases they were for damages on properly disputed causes of action, but no distinction was made on the Register. Judgments settled otherwise than through the Court may appear, unless 'Satisfaction' was entered up within the fourteen days allowed for that purpose. Naval Ratings Killed in 1915
(1915) The monthly lists of Royal Navy ratings killed from the start of the Great War from January to December 1915 are arranged alphabetically by surname and christian names, with rank, and official number. The lists include marines, merchant navy, reservists, and a few civilian canteen staff also killed in the conflict. Full names are given, except for a few cases where a middle name is represented only by an initial.
