Voters under the £10 franchise in Ripon
(1832) A poll for two burgesses to serve in parliament for the borough of Ripon was taken on 11 December 1832, the candidates being sir Charles James Dalbiac (D.), Thomas Kitchingman Staveley esquire (S.), William Markham esquire (M.) and Joshua Samuel Crompton esquire (C.). This poll book lists all voters alphabetically in three sections - voters under the £10 franchise (copyholders and long-leaseholders of property of up to £10 per annum); voters resident in Bondgate; and voters under the burgage franchise.
