Names shown in italics are those of officers in foreign service, supernumerary, seconded or employed outside their own departments. This is the list of civil annuitants on the Bengal Establishment - civil servants who had been first appointed as far back as 1850, and on retirement received a government pension. Each man's surname and initials are given, with years of first appointment and commencement of annuity.
